Standing on the edge
tender toes wriggle
on the craggy cliff
Wind whips
and taunts
Articulating
the challenge
Muscles tense
Arms spread
wide open
Eyes squeeze shut
for a just a moment
as a fresh breath
is deeply drawn
Pushing off
Her spirit soars
Taking the plunge
is the first step
to finding
a perfect oasis
in the crystal clear water
hidden from view
I like the simplicity of words in this poem and can flow with the concepts. At the end of your poems, you always leave a “twist”…in this poem….a perfect oasis beneath what we cant see…..that is how life unfolds for me.
